The GaelO project was our first project, born from a simple observation: traditional CRO clinical research often struggles with the technical complexity of medical imaging. Manual data transfers, inconsistent de-identification, and fragmented workflows lead to delays and data integrity risks.

We have seen too many studies not centralizing medical imaging, relying on unqualified local review or centralizing data using CD/DVD exchanges. We wanted to remove all these inefficient processes and create an infrastructure to make the most of medical imaging capabilities.

We created the GaelO platform Imaging CRO model by placing a powerful, cloud-native technological core at the service of medical expertise. We believe that by automating the "data plumbing," we allow researchers to focus on what matters most: scientific discovery and patient outcomes.

Then we completed the ecosystem with GaelO-Flow for Real World Evidence. With GaelO-Flow we wanted to bring image management and processing tools where the medical images lie — in healthcare institutions, to promote Real World Evidence research and accelerate medical imaging research even more.

Scientific Integrity

We are convinced that technology is only as powerful as the science behind it. In every clinical trial imaging project we support, we maintain the "Human in the loop" principle. Our AI algorithms — including our automated TMTV engine — act as high-performance assistants, but final validation always remains in the hands of medical experts, ensuring 100% accurate results.

Contributor of the medical imaging infrastructure

At Pixilib we built our solution by collaborating with major open source software projects to which we contribute with funding and code contributions.

We knew from the beginning that we wouldn't be able to build this full infrastructure alone — so we joined major projects such as Orthanc and OHIF to construct a strong ecosystem we can rely on and that will benefit the whole medical imaging research and industry.
